PRF & PRP Injections in Miami

Harness your body's own healing power for naturally rejuvenated, radiant skin.

PRF | PRP

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are regenerative treatments that use components from your own blood to stimulate healing, collagen production, and skin renewal. At The Wellness Center of London Square, we draw a small blood sample, process it to concentrate its healing properties, and reintroduce it to target areas — a fully natural approach to rejuvenation with no synthetic materials involved.

What It Treats

Skin texture and tone

Fine lines and early signs of aging

What to Expect

1

Consultation: We assess your skin concerns and determine whether PRP or PRF is the better fit for your goals.

2

Treatment: A small blood sample is drawn and processed, then reintroduced through injection or microneedling; most sessions take 45–60 minutes.

3

Results: Initial improvements appear within a few weeks, with results building over 1–3 months as new collagen forms.

4

Maintenance: A series of sessions is often recommended, with results lasting several months to over a year.

PRP or PRF — What's the Difference?

Both PRP and PRF are derived from your own blood, but they're used for very different purposes.

PRP

Platelet-Rich Plasma

PRP uses a concentrated portion of your blood's platelets and growth factors to support your skin's natural healing process and stimulate collagen production. It's commonly used to improve skin texture, fine lines, acne scars, and overall rejuvenation.

Best for: texture, fine lines, acne scars, collagen renewal.

PRF

Platelet-Rich Fibrin Biofiller

PRF is also derived from your own blood, but it forms a fibrin-rich matrix that gradually releases growth factors over time. At The Wellness Center, we use PRF specifically as a natural biofiller — an alternative to traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) filler.

Best for: natural volume, subtle lift, HA filler alternative.

Your provider will help determine which treatment — or combination — is right for your goals.

Your PRF/PRP treatment plan in Miami

Before Your Appointment — PRP/PRF

  • If medically appropriate, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen/NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E, and certain herbal supplements for 3–7 days before treatment. Do not stop prescribed medications without first speaking with your healthcare provider.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.
  • Stay well hydrated before your appointment. Good hydration can make the blood draw easier and may help with the collection process.
  • Eat a light meal before your appointment unless you have been instructed otherwise.
  • Avoid scheduling treatment if you have an active infection, fever, or significant skin irritation in the treatment area.
  • Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, medical conditions, allergies, and previous injectable or aesthetic treatments.

During Your Appointment — PRP/PRF

  • Plan for your appointment to take approximately 60–75 minutes, depending on the treatment area and whether PRP or PRF is being used.
  • You'll begin with a consultation to review your goals, medical history, and personalized treatment plan.
  • A small amount of your blood will be drawn and processed using a specialized centrifuge to separate and concentrate the components used for your treatment.
  • A topical or local anesthetic may be used when appropriate to improve comfort.
  • Before-and-after photographs may be taken to document your treatment and track your progress.

After Your Appointment — PRP/PRF

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying significant pressure to the treated areas for the remainder of the day, unless specifically instructed by your provider.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for approximately 24 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours after treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and prolonged sun exposure, for approximately 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid facials, massages, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, or other procedures involving significant manipulation of the treated area for approximately 1–2 weeks, unless otherwise directed by your provider.
  • If PRF is being used as a biofiller, expect some initial swelling for 3–5 days. The treated area may look fuller immediately after treatment, with results evolving as the PRF integrates and stimulates the body's natural healing response.
